Background

The Mitsubishi UBE Cement Corporation Kyushu Plant, located in Kanda, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, is one of the largest cement production facilities in the country. Established in 1920 by Hokoku Cement Corporation, it was later integrated into Mitsubishi Mining & Cement Co., Ltd. in 1973, and subsequently became part of Mitsubishi UBE Cement Corporation.[2]
