The pipeline runs from Abbotstown in Co. Dublin to Dundalk, Co. Louth.[2]
Project details

Background
Main Line
The pipeline was constructed in 1988, a decade which saw a major expansion of Ireland's gas network following the construction of the Cork To Dublin Pipeline and the development of gas fields off the coast of Kinsale.[2][4] Spur lines to Navan and Kells bringing gas to towns in Co. Cavan, Co. Monaghan, and Co. Westmeath were constructed between 1995 and 2017.[5][6][7] The pipeline runs parallel to the South-North Pipeline but stops in Dundalk, short of the border.
