Background

Two pipelines run roughly in parallel along the route from Nuevo Teapa to the Minatitlán refinery.

Line 1 passes through the municipalities of Moloacan, Ixhuatlan del Sureste, and Minatitlán.

Line 2 passes through the municipalities of Moloacan, Coatzacoalcos, Nanchital de Lázaro Cárdenas del R., Cosoleacaque and Minatitlán.
