Background

In 2007, the contract for the 754 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant, which is an extension of the 335 MW Power Plant, was signed with Messrs SEPCO III Electric Power Construction Corporation of China and with Messrs Oska~Jo & Partners Ltd/Scott Wilson Plc. (now URS Corporation) to supervise the project.[4]

The plant consists of two units of 377 MW generating capacity each.[5]

In 2012, the plant construction was completed.[4]

In February 2015, the plant was commissioned.[6]
