Background

Construction for the Ordos Resources Qipanjing power station began in April 2013, with the plants beginning operation in 2015. The sponsoring company, Ordos High-Tech & New Material, was initially planning to build 4 units of 330,000 kilowatts. The first phase has been completed and is currently in operation; the second has yet to be proposed.[1]
