Ordos Power Qipanjing power station (鄂尔多斯电力冶金股份棋盘井自备电厂) is an operating power station of at least 1960-megawatts (MW) in Mengxi Town, Otog Front Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating. It is also known as 电力二公司 (Unit 5, Unit 6, Unit 7, Unit 8, Unit 9), Ordos Shuangxin power station (New Unit 1, New Unit 2), 电力一公司 (Unit 1, Unit 2, Unit 3, Unit 4), 鄂尔多斯双欣发电厂 (New Unit 1, New Unit 2), 电力二公司） (Unit 10).

Background
Ordos Power Qipanjing power station is a ten-unit coal-fired power plant totaling 1,960 MW in Mengxi Town. It was commissioned from 2005 to 2013, and is owned by Ordos Share Holding Group.[2]
An additional 2 x 600 MW may have been considered at the site,[3][4][5][6] but were presumed cancelled. Due to new restrictions announced during 2016 by the National Energy Administration and the National Development and Reform Commission, further capacity expansions at the location appeared to be on hold or cancelled.
