Background
PT Semen Tonasa Cement Plant is the first cement company in Eastern Indonesia, a part of SIG (Semen Indonesia Group SMGR), also as state-owned enterprise and the largest cement producer in Indonesia[2]. The plant received ISO 50001 certification by achieving an energy efficiency of 18.52% and agricultural waste as renewable energy by 435,864.37 tons[2]. The plant was also selected as a UNESCO Global Geopark by reducing CO2 emissions by 435,864.37 tons[2].
