The Panagiurishte-Pirdop Gas Pipeline is a natural gas pipeline under construction in Bulgaria.[1][2]

Location

The pipeline runs from Valve Assembly (VA) Vinogradets (or valve assembly Rosen), located on the southern semi-ring of the MGP (main gas pipeline) to AGRS west of the town of Panagiurishte and a route from the town of Panagiuriste to AGRS west of Pirdop.[1][3][4]

Background

The pipeline is shown on the Bulgartransgaz 2021 "Gas Infrastructure of the Republic of Bulgaria" as one of the "gas pipelines under construction."[2] The Bulgartransgaz 2021-2030 Ten Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP) lists the pipeline as one of its "Projects in progress" stating that "a contractor has been chosen and contract has been signed, whose implementation has started."[5]
