Background

According to June 2020 data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), the pipeline is an expansion of Plains All American's Texas pipeline system. The segment runs between Reeves County, Texas, and Wink, Texas.[1]

In 2021 Plains issued force majeure on some of Texas infrastructure as a result of severe winter storms and power outages. This included the Pinon Oil Pipeline.[2]
