The Piparia underground Coal Mine Project of 0.24 MTPA on a mining lease area of 606.00 ha in Johila coalfield operated by South Eastern Coalfields Limited is located in Tehsil Bandavgarh and Manpur, District Umaria, State Madhya Pradesh, India. The project has been operating with the consent received from Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution Act) 1974 and Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution Act) 1981 which is valid till 31 March 2020. The project needs to seek Environment Clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change to continue its operation.
