Background
The project involves installation of two combined cycle units (3 gas turbines and 1 Siemens steam turbine for each complex) and related equipment. The project will be implemented in 2 phases: 121 MW (3 gas turbines) and 73.5 MW (1 steam turbine) each. In addition to receiving additional profit for Ukrnafta from the sale of electricity, heat and process steam, the project is designed to ensure supply of additional thermal energy for the territorial community and electricity to the Unified Energy System of Ukraine in the amount of ~ 3,000 GWh per year. Detailed project schedule is at the development stage. The launch of the first stage is planned for the end of 2027-beginning of 2028. The second stage is planned for the end of 2028. As of September 2025, the project is in need of funding.[5]
