In the 2012 Queensland State election campaign James Mackay, the head of corporate affairs for QCoal, worked full-time on the Liberal National Party's campaign. At the time Mackay was being paid $10,000 a month by the QCoal.[1]
LNP's disclosure
In a amendment to its 2011-2012 annual return, the Liberal National Party of Queensland listed a $30,750 "gift-in-kind" from QCoal Services. [2]
In its return, QCoal Services stated that its donation was 23 March 2012 and noted that "this donation was an administrative staff member donated 'in kind'".[3]
