Background

The Buraydah Cement Plant began operations in 1978 as the first plant of Qassim Cement. It has expanded to three production lines totaling over 4 million tonnes annually in production. In 2025, the company announced it had signed a contract to construct a fourth production line at the plant, set to take total production to nearly 8 million tonnes per year.
