Background

Qinzhou LNG Terminal is a proposed LNG terminal in Guangxi, China.[1]

It was reported in 2015 that the Qinzhou LNG Terminal is planned to be built in the municipal region of Qinzhou and will include the construction of a terminal, jetty, regasification facilities and storage capacity of 3 mtpa.[1] It appears that the developer has abandoned the project, and the local government is seeking a new sponsor.

In 2017 the project was reported to be suspended. PetroChina of CNPC was listed as the sponsor.[2]

As of March 2019 there was no further news about this project and it appears to be cancelled.
