Background

In 2014, an LNG Terminal with 0.5 mtpa of receiving capacity was proposed. No further development of the plan.[1]

Quangang District, a petrochemical zone in Quanzhou laid out a special plan for gas from 2018 through 2035. An LNG terminal was proposed in the plan from 2020 to 2025, with no specific details.[2]
