Background
Raipur Sponge Iron power station is located in Raipur, the state of Chhattisgarh, India.[1] The power station was owned by Monnet Ispat and Energy Ltd. Monnet Ispat and Energy Ltd was renamed JSW Ispat Special Products Ltd in 2020 after a takeover by JSW Steel and AION Investments through a Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP). In August 2018, the joint consortium acquired a controlling stake in JSW Ispat Special Products Limited (formerly known as Monnet Ispat & Energy Limited).[2][3]
