The pipeline is proposed to run from the Taweelah-Fujairah Pipeline to Ras Al Khaimah, with a connection to the Sajaa gas storage facility in Sharjah.[1]

Project Details

  • Operator: RAK Gas L.L.C.[2]
  • Owner: RAKGAS[2]
  • Parent company: Government of Ras Al Khaimah[3]
  • Length: 140 km[1]
  • Status: Proposed[1]

Background

In October 2023, the China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Corporation (CPPE) was awarded a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract from Rakgas for a multistage pipeline of about 140km. It was shared that the pipeline would connect from the existing Taweelah-Fujairah Pipeline to Ras Al Khaimah, with connection to the Sajaa gas storage in Sharjah. The FEED contract was intended to develop the work scope for an engineering, procurement, and construction tender.[1]

That same month, Rakgas appointed Kent as the Project Management Consultant for the pipeline.[4]

As of 2025, the project is listed as "ongoing" on Kent's website, but no further updates on the FEED or construction plans have been released since 2023.[2]
