Background

Ramco Cements began its journey in 1961 and over the decades have established five integrated cement plants and six cement grinding units.

Mathodu Grinding Unit was acquired in the year 1999. The cement produced in this unit services Karnataka markets of Mysore and Mangalore sector in addition to the primary markets in and around Chitradurga district. The plant is capable of producing Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and blended cement such as Portland Pozzolana cement (PPC). The clinker for this plant comes from the Kalavatala integrated cement plant in Kolimigundla, Andhra Pradesh, India.
