Background

Rạng Đông CHP power station was a proposed 100 MW coal plant complex.[1][2]

The project was listed in the Revised Power Development Plan VII as a cogeneration IPP project for 2025. The fuel type is listed as "Hydro-RES."[3]

As of May 2020, there was no additional news about this project since it was proposed in the March 2016 Revised PDP VII, and it appeared to be cancelled.
