Background

In April 2015, Energy Transfer Partners LP and Regency Energy Partners LP completed their merger of an indirect subsidiary of ETP, with and into Regency. The Regency Intrastate Gas (RIGS) Pipeline is now operated by Regency Energy Partners, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Transfer Partners.[3]

Gas is supplied to the pipeline from a number of areas including Haynesville. It has interconnects with Texas Gas, Trunkline Gas Company Pipeline, ANR Pipeline Company and Columbia Gulf Transmission Gas Pipeline.[4]

Expansion Projects

Regency Intrastate Enhancement Project

The Regency Intrastate Enhancement Project is also known as the Northern Louisiana Expansion or the Winnsboro Extension. Initially the pipeline, had a length of 200 miles, which was expanded and extended significantly through Regency Intrastate Enhancement Project to 320 miles. The planning of the project started in January 2005 and construction began in May 2005. The construction of the project was completed in December 2005.[2]
