Background

The pipeline Rehden-Hamburg Gas Pipeline (Rehden-Hamburg-Gasleitung (RHG)) was constructed in 1994 by Wingas and E.ON Hanse (Hamburger Gaswerke).[1] The pipeline is now owned by Gascade Gastransport GmbH, a joint venture of BASF and Gazprom. It has a diameter of 800 mm, or 31 inches. It connects with the MIDAL Gas Pipeline at Rehden, and with E.ON's gas network in Heidenau, southwest of Hamburg.[3]

SciGrid refers to this pipeline in its IGG dataset as "INET_PL_580".[5]
