SN MAIA Siderurgia Nacional steel plant, also known as Megasa Maia steel plant, is an electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant operating in Maia, Porto, Portugal.

Background

The SN MAIA Siderurgia Nacional SA steel plant is owned by Megasa Steel and is one of the eight plants owned by the company.[1] It is the company's largest rebar production unit.[1]

In 2021, Megasa started permitting for plans to install a 5 MWp photovoltaic array for the plant.[2][3]
