Saih Nihayda-Saih Rawl Gas Pipeline, خط غاز سيح نهيدة- سيح رول, is an operating gas pipeline in Oman.[1]
Location
The pipeline runs from Saih Nihayda in Ad Dakhiliyah to Saih Rawl in Al Wusta, Oman.[1]
Project Details
- Operator: OQGN[1]
- Owner: OQGN[1]
- Length: 33 km[2]
- Diameter: 48 in[3]
- Status: Operating[3]
- Start year: 2005[3]
Background
According to OQGN's 2023 schematic, there is a pipeline connecting Saih Nihayda to the Saih Rawl Central Processing Plant.
A 2003 document from the Manderstam Group says that they were involved in the "design, engineering, procurement and project management of a 33 km high pressure gas transmission pipeline." The location is listed as Saih Nihayda.[2] This length and date would roughly match the distance between the two gas plants and the time that Saih Nihayda was being constructed.
The Saih Nihayda gas plant began operations in 2005, so it is presumed that the gas pipeline commenced operations the same year.[3]
