Background on Mine
The Saoner UG coal mine is operated on a mining lease area of 2871.39 ha. The main drainage of the area is controlled by River Kolar and River Chandragandha flowing east. Few seasonal nullas mainly carrying the rain water during monsoon discharge into these Rivers. River Kolar is about 2 KM away from project site and joins River Kanhan. [3]
