Background

Sebryakovsky Cement Plant appears to be the second largest cement plant in Russia after Mordovtsement cement plant. The plant was built as part of the reconstruction efforts in then Stalingrad after the Second World War.

Five out of seven kilns that used wet production method retired in 2013.

Currently, the plant uses both wet and dry production methods.
