Background
In 2023, Shahini field was estimated to contain 22 trillion cubic feet or 623 billion cubic meters of natural gas (methane).[4] Iran's Oil Minister Javad Owji stated that the Shahini reservoir is considered Iran's largest land based gas reserve.[5]
