Background

According to the steel capacity transfer plan of the Shandong Province People's Government, Shandong Chuanyang Group Co., Ltd. and another steel plant located in Zouping, Shandong Province (Shandong Guangfu Group Co., Ltd.) will withdraw a total of over 10 million tons of iron and steel production capacity by 2022. The two plants dismantled eight blast furnaces, five basic oxygen furnaces and two electric furnaces, equaling 5.69 million tons of ironmaking capacity and 6.66 million tons of steelmaking capacity. [1]
