Background
In 2019, it was reported that many of the coal-fired power generating units in the Shandong Province with less than 300 MW of capacity would be shut down "in about three years."[5] It was unclear if the Shandong Ruihe Industrial Co power station would be affected.
In early 2026, the unit was listed among those plants retired and converted to clean fuel.[6]
