Shenmu Shenxin power station (信发神木神信热电厂) is an operating power station of at least 1320-megawatts (MW) in Jinjie, Shenmu, Yulin, Shaanxi, China. It is also known as 神木神信热电2ｘ660MW发电工程.

Background on Project
Shenmu Shenxin power station is a proposed 2 x 660 MW coal plant in Jinjie Town (Jinjiezhen), Shenmu County. Unit 1 was permitted for construction in February 2021.[4][5] In March 2022, a permitting quota for one 660 MW unit which belonged to Hengli Energy was transferred to the proposed power project. [6] By April 2022, it appeared both units were permitted (陕发改能电力[2022]557 号). In August 2022, the Environmental Impact Assessment report for both units had also been approved.[7][8]
Construction reportedly began in September 2022,[9] and by November 2022, the supercritical project's ground foundation was nearly complete.[10] In July 2023, reports stated that construction was still in full swing.[11] Planet satellite imagery showed significant progress in the power station's construction from January to July of 2023.
The power project was expected to be ready for operation in February 2024.[9]
