Background
According to the capacity swap announcement, the plant planed to build two 130-tonne electric arc furnace to replace two 60-tonne basic oxygen furnaces, a 60-tonne electric arc furnace, and a 480m3, a 580m3 and a 1080m3 blast furnaces.[2] The new electric arc furnaces started to operate on October 29, 2020.[3] The company was subjected to compulsory enforcement of a penalty amounting to 1.82 million yuan for refusing to comply with the penalty decision.[4]
