Background

The existing 2 x 300 MW units of the Shijiazhuang Yuhua power station, units 5-6, were brought online in 2009. The plant is owned by China Huadian.[2]

Description of Expansion

Huadian was planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, units 7-8, with a total planned capacity of 700 MW.[3][4]

In 2017, the units were permitted as gas-fired units instead.[5]
