Background

There were previous public complaints alleging that the Shuangfeng County Conch Cement Plant was engaged in over-scale and unauthorized mining, causing ecological damage. However, an investigation later confirmed that these claims were unfounded. The mine operated by Shuangfeng Conch Cement Co., Ltd. is not located in Chachong Village, and the company has not yet produced manufactured sand. There is no evidence of over-scale or unauthorized mining activities.
