  • Permit(s): January 20, 2023 – 本次获批的是一期工程(首台机组核准批复),总投资34.1093亿元。[1]

Background

In September 2021, a "cooperation protocol" was reportedly signed for a 1,000 MW project.[2] The project was also listed as a 1 x 1,000 MW capacity project in the provincial major construction plan for 2022.[3][4]

In May 2022 and August 2022, a review meeting for a 2 x 660 MW project of the same name (Shuicheng Dongdi power generation project) was held.[5][6]

In January 2023, the first unit of the project was permitted.[7] In the 2023 Guizhou Province Coal Power Projects Three-Year Action Plan (2023-2025), only the first unit of the project was listed, with an estimated COD of 2025.[8]

In July 2023, a Feasibility Study review took place for both units of the proposed power station.[9][10] Thus, Unit 2 of the project was considered to be in pre-permit development.

In December 2023, the Environmental Impact Assessment for both units was approved.[11]
