Background

The plant provides power to the PT Lontar Papyrus Pulp & Paper Mill in Tebing Tinggi. Units 1-3 were commissioned in 1994 and Unit 4 was commissioned in May 2019. Units 1-3 co-fire with woody biomass.[1]
