Background

The Sigus Cement Plant opened in 2019, a subsidiary of GICA (Groupe Industriel des Ciments d'Algérie), the largest cement producer in Algeria. The plant was supplied and constructed by the German company ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions. It contains one kiln with the capacity to produce 6,000 tonnes of clinker daily.
