Background

Sodeshi Shimizu LNG Terminal is an LNG terminal in Chūbu, Japan.

In 2012 Shizuoka Gas signed a memorandum of agreement to purchase LNG from Malaysia.

The terminal's capacity was initially 0.8 mtpa, until an expansion project in 2009 increased it by 2.1 mtpa.
