Songjin Works Steel plant , also known as Songjin Iron & Steel Plant, is a 100 thousand tonnes per annum (TTPA) electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant operating in Kimchaek (formerly Sŏngjin), Hamgyongbukto, North Korea.

Background

The plant was severely damaged during Korean war and was rehabilitated and expanded since.[1] According to OECD 2013, the plant had an electric arc furnace of capacity 100 ttpa.[3]
