Coal Mine Background

The South Surface Coal Mine was developed and constructed in 1976. It is a national key construction project during the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" and "Eighth Five-Year Plan".[1]The original production capacity of the South open-pit mine was 15 million tons per year. In May 2015, approved by the National Coal Mine Safety Supervision Bureau, its production capacity was increased to 18 million tons per year.[2]
