Power projects

Sudama Mahavir Power is proposing to build the Maharjapur power station, a 1320 megawatt (MW) supercritical coal-fired power station which is nominally scheduled to come on line in 2015. The power station is proposed to be near the villages of Bajakheda, Singhpur, Marapurva, Mukharra, and Tattam in Maharajapur Taluk, Chhatarpur District, Madhya Pradesh. The power station was initially proposed to be built near the viillages of Devari, Dagdauwa, and Harda, in Naurojabad Tehsil, in Umaraia District, neared the Bandhavgarh National Park, but the Ministry of Environment and Forests notes that the proposed site shifted 7 kilometres to the south. The Ministry lists the project in a review of mining projects which could affect the habitat of tigers.[1][2]

The project was considered for issuing ToR on Apr 4, 2011 and the ToR was issued on May 13, 2011[2]
