Along with Berbigão Oil and Gas Field (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Sururu Oil and Gas Field (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), Sul de Tupi Oil and Gas Field is a part of the Iara complex.

Sul de Tupi Oil and Gas Field is also sometimes referred to as Sul de Lula.
