Sulawesi Labota power station is an operating power station of at least 1140-megawatts (MW) in Bahodopi, Morowali, Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating. It is also known as 青山工业园拉波塔电厂.

Background
Units 1-3 (Sulawesi Mining power station, Phase 5)
Units 1-3 of the Sulawesi Labota power station (青山工业园拉波塔电厂1-3号机组) also appear to be referred to as Phase 5 of the Sulawesi Mining power station (青山工业园自备电厂五期).
Units 4-6
In August 2021, China Energy Construction Group East China Construction Investment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Energy Construction Group Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction Co., Ltd. signed a contract with Qingshan Indonesia Morovali Park Rapo to build the 3 x 380 MW supercritical plant in Qingshan Industrial Park.[2]
In April 2023, Unit 4 began operating. The unit would reportedly help to "effectively alleviate the current shortage of power consumption in the Morawali Industrial Park" (Google translate).[3]
In July 2023, Unit 5 began operating.[4]
Units 7-9
In 2021, an additional three units (7#-9#) were also recruiting bids.[5][6] The capacity of these units was unclear.
According to February 2022 reporting, the project construction period was set to start April 2022 and end October 31, 2022, when the first unit would be connected to the grid, followed by the second unit in 2022, and the third unit in January 2023.[7][8]
As of January 2023, Planet imagery suggested that Unit 7 and Unit 8 had entered construction.
In February 2023, reporting indicated that equipment deliveries for the construction of units 7, 8 and 9 were ongoing.[9] Construction work was in progress in October 2023.[10]
In December 2023, Unit 7 began operating.[11]
