Background
The plant is part of the three Takoradi power stations in Aboadze. The other power stations include Takoradi (TICO) Thermal power plant, and Takoradi (TAPCO) 1 Thermal power plant.[5]The major financier of the project was the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC). The plant cost was US $185 million.[6]In 2013, the plant came online.[5]
