Tambeyskoye-Bovanenkovo Gas Pipeline

Tambeyskoye-Bovanenkovo Gas Pipeline (магистральный газопровод от Тамбейского месторождения до СМГ «Бованенково-Ухта» (1 нитка)) is a proposed gas pipeline.[1]
Location
The pipeline will run from the Tambeyskoye Oil and Gas Field to the Karskaya compressor station, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomus Area, where it would connect to Bovanenkovo-Ukhta Gas Pipeline, Segment 1 (Bovanenkovo-Ukhta 1 Gas Pipeline).

Background
The proposed pipeline will connect the Tambeyskoye oil and gas field to the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta 1 Gas Pipeline at the Karskaya compressor station. Comprehensive engineering surveys have been completed in 2024.[1] A tender for performing archaeological research is scheduled to be announced by Gazprom in July 2024.[7] The project was included into the list of "Planned Transmission Gas Pipelines" released by the Ministry of Energy of Russia in May 2015 and revised in and May 2025.[4] According to the "Technical Assignment for Execution of Work on the Construction of the Facility" published in July 2025, the construction is expected to begin in November 2025, and the project is planned to be completed in December 2028.[5]
Route
The pipeline will run from the Tambeyskoye oil and gas field (more specifically, North-Tambeyskoye) to the Karskaya compressor station, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, where it would connect to Bovanenkovo-Ukhta Gas Pipeline, Segment 1 (Bovanenkovo-Ukhta 1 Gas Pipeline).
To find the starting point for the route, a segment 33 km was traced from the Tambey village to the north; that is the approximate location of the North-Tambeyskoye oil and gas field, according to official documents.[1]
To find the end point for the route, a GPS coordinate for Karskaya compressor station was obtained[8] and used as a mid-point on the route since as of July 2024 the compressor station was still under construction.[1] Finally, the route was connected to the operating Bovanenkovo-Ukhta 1 Gas Pipeline at the Gas Distribution Point 1, where Bovanenkovo-Ukhta 1 Gas Pipeline originates.[9]
