Background

In 2024, Tan Quang Cement proposed reducing cement plant capacity to address the significant overcapacity and price pressure issues. The proposal aimed to stabilize prices amid rising input costs and declining sales, which were further challenged by China's competitive increased export taxes. Tan Quang Cement contributes part of its profits to charities on a yearly basis. In 2024, the company donated more than VND1.2 billion to social causes.
