Background
Kitadin operates the mine, which is owned by Indo Tambangraya Megah. The mineclosure activities of PT Kitadin’s site in Tandung Mayang reached its final stage in 2022, with the completion of the assessment of the success of reclamation, revegetation, community empowerment, and the fulfilment of watershed rehabilitation obligations. The government has assessed the KTD Tandung Mayang site’s mineclosure program that gave very satisfactory results.[2]
