Tangshan Jianlong Special Steel Co., Ltd. (唐山建龙特殊钢有限公司), also known as Tangshan Jianlong Industrial Co., Ltd., is a 1700 thousand tonnes per annum (TTPA) blast furnace (BF) and basic oxygen furnace (BOF) retired steel plant in Tangshan, Hebei, China.

Background

The company has been included in the list of steel enterprises to be rectified due to environmental issues. On March 21, 2019, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment notified strengthening of supervision in key areas, under the Blue Sky Defense War 2018-2019: Tangshan Jianlong was found having a problem of unorganized emissions of industrial dust.[2] On October 31 and November 14, 2019, the company's 3# blast furnace and 1# blast furnace ceased production. On November 15, 2019, the 1# converter ceased production. In November 2020 Tangshan Jianlong Smelter has been shut down.[3]
