Background

As of November 2022, Tbilsresi units 3 and 4 and Tbilsresi unit 9 (also known as Gardabani Energy Block 9) are operating.

Unit 10 has not been operating since 2003.[14] It was damaged in 2001 and is considered beyond repair.[15] It has been deactivated and there's no evidence if the unit has been retired and decommissioned. Units 5-8 have not been operating at least since 1995.[14] These units have been deactivated and not decommissioned, and there is a potential for rehabilitation of these units, therefore they are considered mothballed.[15]
