Background

The main financiers were the Government of Ghana (GoG) and the Volta River Authority (VRA).[7] The plant had an installed capacity of 126 MW but its net output was 110 MW when completed.[8]In 2011, the plant was constructed.[9]In 2012, the plant came online.[8]
