Background
The Terminal Gás Sul-GASBOL Gas Pipeline was originally announced in a 2019 government report listing prospective pipelines throughout Brazil.[4] The 33-kilometer, 20-inch pipeline was proposed as a means to transport regasified LNG from New Fortress Energy's Terminal Gás Sul FSRU to a junction with TBG's GASBOL Gas Pipeline in Garuva (Santa Catarina state).[4]
In April 2024, the Terminal Gás Sul-GASBOL pipeline was officially connected to the GASBOL pipeline[3], and in June of the same year the Terminal Gás Sul-GASBOL pipeline began operating commercially.[2]
