Tian'an No.13 Coal Mine (平顶山天安煤业股份有限公司十三矿) is an underground coal mine located in Zhang Village, Ziyun Town, Xiangcheng County, Xuchang City, Henan Province, China.[1]

Coal Mine Background

Tian'an No.13 Coal Mine was built in December 1993 and was officially put into operation on May 18, 2002. [2] The approved production capacity in 2019 was 2.1 million tons/year. [3]

In 2005, Tian’an No.13 Coal Mine was identified as a coal and gas outburst mine by the Fushun Branch of the Coal Science and Technology Research Institute.[4] At 8:04 on August 16, 2018, a coal and gas outburst occurred in the mine, resulting in one death and one slight injury.[5]
